Hi, I am Angie Terrell.

Based in Atlanta, GA

Angie Terrell is a self-taught photographer with a background in gender studies, anthropology, and user experience. Her practice of photography centers on exploring how societal and cultural histories determine individual experience in the present. Angie's long-form projects are subjective explorations of her relationship to the people, communities, and environments in the American South and Midwest. Though her work is informed by political and societal forces that shape our present, her images are poetic meditations of our shared histories, lingering on the subtleties of light and detail.

Angie was accepted into the inaugural Magnum long-term mentorship program in 2020-2021 and has participated in numerous Fotofilmic workshops.
